Beneficiaries

Working in partnership with Foundation Scotland ensures that the David Doig Foundation meets its objectives by awarding grants to those who need most support.

Click on the following PDF for a summary of how the Foundation is helping thousands of children and young people in Scotland to reach their full potential since its inception in 2017.  The latest Impact Report (May 2024) CLICK HERE demonstrates how the Foundation has supported many organisations over the last 2 years.  Thanks to the awards made by the David Doig Foundation, now in its seventh year of grant making activity, young people are being supported to stay on a positive pathway towards qualifications and employment.  A wonderful, lasting legacy to David and all that he stood for.

The supported projects include working with school pupils and young people with experience of homelessness to supporting those struggling with reading and writing, multiple projects supporting young people into training, volunteering, and employability support to help increase their career chances, and provision of specific additional educational opportunities, such as specialist music classes and opportunities to learn outdoors, for children and young people facing challenges to allow them to reach their full potential.

The impact of the grants has been far reaching, with many of the projects supported even able to adapt and continue their important support to young people through the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. The following case studies and updates help to bring this support, made possible by the support of the David Doig Foundation, to life.
